Even the most hardcore of boxing fans might not have ever heard of Jordan Gill. But there’s a reason why DAZN is putting him on as the headliner vs. Emmanuel Dominguez on its Saturday card. He’s a hot featherweight prospect who might be in the toughest fight of his career, making the Gill vs. Dominguez bout an interesting event to peruse.
The British-born Gill has never faced a top-level opponent—nobody on his résumé is even close to that, actually—and that won’t change Saturday. But Dominguez is a savvy veteran, and even though he has some unimpressive losses on his record, he could still provide a nice test for Gill.

“Headlining a show is a new challenge for me but it’s something that I’m buzzing for,” Gill said. “It’s more pressure to deal with because everyone is coming out to see me, all eyes are going to be on me as I’m top of the bill. But this is something that I’ve worked toward my whole life and to be in that position on March 2 is awesome.”
Here’s everything you need to know to watch the Gill vs. Dominguez live stream for free.
Jordan Gill vs. Emmanuel Dominguez
- When: Saturday, March 2, at 11:30am ET
- Where: East of England Arena in Peterborough, England
- Streaming: DAZN (free with one-month trial)
If you live in the U.S. but want to watch this U.K. showdown, DAZN is the only way to tune in. The streaming service costs $9.99 per month, but you only have to pay after a one-month free trial. So, if you haven’t ever had a DAZN account, you can watch Gill vs. Dominguez for free.
Though DAZN has been around for the past several years, it made its U.S. debut in September 2018, and it’s been making huge splashes since then. The biggest boxing star in North America, Canelo Alvarez, signed a $365 million deal to fight exclusively on DAZN—he’ll face middleweight titlist Daniel Jacobs in May. Plus, Anthony Joshua, the heavyweight champion who’s a massive star in Europe, will battle American foe Jarrell Miller on DAZN in June. Throw in the possibility of signing Gennady Golovkin—probably the third-most popular fighter in the world—and DAZN is doing its best to take over the boxing world.
Along with a healthy number of MMA cards, DAZN says it’ll stream 100 events per year. Considering it’s only $9.99 per month to watch so much combat sports, that’s a great deal.
DAZN works with , Apple TV, Amazon Fire Stick and Fire TV, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and both iOS and Android phones. All you have to do is download the DAZN app and log-in with your subscription credentials. You can also stream via computer browsers Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, Internet Explorer, and Opera.
Jordan Gill vs. Emmanuel Dominguez: Why it matters
Three fights ago, Gill was facing a boxer who had a total of four pro bouts. Two fights before that, the opponent’s record was 14-34-2. Gill has a thin résumé—he’s still a relatively young 24 years old, so those kinds of underwhelming opponents aren’t all that unusual—but Dominguez (24-7-2, 16 knockouts) will try to show Gill still isn’t ready to move up to better opposition.
“We’re over here to try and create a surprise,” Dominguez said at a recent press conference. “I’m sure I can win on Saturday night. I have a huge inspiration in the form of my family and the people close to me. It’s a real dream. It’s also a dream of mine to become a world champion. Jordan represents a real step up in class for me.”
Gill (22-0, 6 KOs), though, will have plenty of crowd support in his home country. According to Gill’s promoter, Matchroom Boxing, more than 2,500 tickets have been sold for the event—a solid number for a fighter like Gill at this stage of his career—and considering Dominguez has traveled to the U.K. from his native Mexico, the crowd will be loudly cheering for Gill.
Oddsmakers don’t give Dominguez much of a chance. He’s about a 10/1 underdog, and if you want to put your money on Gill, you’d have to wager $2,250 to win a paltry $100. But Gill sees Dominguez as a real challenge.
“This is a really big step on the ladder for me …” Gill said. “We can push on and see what happens after that, but my sights are firmly set on Emmanuel Dominguez on Saturday night. I think it is going to be a hard fight. I’m expecting 12 rounds of action. They breed them tough in Mexico.”
